This piece, titled Angel of Change gets her own page.
She was my most difficult piece to date and she is very dear to my heart.
Please note that I named her before she was finished being built. Strange how much she lived up to her name.
Enjoy the photo documentation of her creation, her sacrifice, and her resurrection.
Her beginning.

After three months, she is finished being built (I thought!)

Okay, she is finished and ready to dry. After drying time she is ready for her bisque fire.
Please be advised the following photos were taken when the kiln door opened.

When I picked her up all of the interior supports fell away, she was no longer able to stand. I was so sad!
But,....One should never ACCEPT defeat!!!
Her restructuring (resurrection).

Reattaching her dress of shards and rubble!

The lights WORK!!

Each piece of the dress was re-attached tediously with epoxy. Epoxy and I are now very good friends!

Ready for paint!

Not finished yet!

Finished! Complete with a Pearl clear coat, halo, lights, and feathers. She weighs approximately 40 lbs and is very sturdy.
She now stands almost 3' tall!
